Resources to Help You Process #ShinyHappyPeople
- Sarah McDugal
#ShinyHappyPeople hit #1 on Amazon Prime today, less than 48 hours after release! đ€Żđ±
And for so many, there is a profound need for some form of aftercare in the wake of viewing.
I fully expect that there will be a landslide of disclosures in the coming months as thousands of erstwhile silent victims borrow courage from those who shared in this documentary. Many are going to finally feel empowered to speak out and share the truth of their own histories of abuse, assault, and exploitation.
There is a #tidalwaverising of truth and exposure, no question.
Iâm committed to keeping WILDâs community a safe space for those who are post-processing the emotions and epiphanies raised by viewing the series.
Toward this end, Iâve received several requests for a list of resources that can safely provide support for those who need educational or therapeutic care. đ©·
List of recommended aftercare resources
for those who are distressed or desiring a better understanding of abusive systems after viewing the series:

My #1 suggestion is an online course called The Four Tools Framework, from Psalm 82 Initiative.
This course will untangle the abusive relational system, and make the dynamics, tools, and elements of any abusive pattern crystal clear. Youâll never be able to unsee it again.
Use code SHINYHAPPY40 for a 40% discount, which makes it less than two sessions of therapy for the entire 20 video course (valid until Dec 31, 2023) https://www.psalm82initiative.org/4-tools-framework/fm7xi
-
The StoryWork resources from Dan Allender at the The Allender Center are offered a few times a year, and are incredible.
